Kate Hersberger was born in 1959 in Regina, Saskatchewan, and raised in nearby Milestone.

Hersberger has lived and worked in Fort Qu’Appelle, Saskatchewan, for the past twenty-five years, and belongs to the Prairie Trails Arts Council. Working in several art mediums, Hersberger recently began using a mixed medium of drywall compound, acrylic paint and a variety of other materials.
